In Ohio, you generally must respond to a request for production within 28 days after service of the request (Ohio Civ. R. 34(B)(1)).

How the deadline works
Under Ohio Civ. R. 34(B)(1), the response to the request for production is due within 28 days after service of the request. When the triggering paper is served by mail, Ohio Civ. R. 6(D) adds 3 days for service by mail or commercial carrier. A deadline landing on a weekend or court holiday moves to the next business day.
