How the deadline works
Under Md. Rule 2-325(b), the demand for jury trial is due within 15 days after service of the last pleading directed to the issue. When the triggering paper is served by mail, Rule 1-203(c) adds 3 days for service by mail. A deadline landing on a weekend or court holiday moves to the next business day.
